Chessington: A Touch of the Mediterranean!

This Chessington-based project was constructed in the typical Mediterranean style – white render with terracotta brick arches and tiles.

To ensure the highest build quality, longevity and insulation of the oven, La Rustica started with installing the oven chamber on a concrete base section, on a bed of heatproof lime and ‘perlite’ mortar.

Set at the correct height for the client and their garden, the chamber was secured using wire bonds and fire clay. This project was constructed to give maximum use of work surfaces in front and to the sides of the oven.

We really are so happy with our Pizza oven. La Rustica were fast and professional, and even gave us a few friendly pointers on the cooking! We’ve just had our first party to great success – it won’t be our last! J.Hull, Chessington
